Machine-readable authorization for physical infrastructure
Designed for aviation, transportation, energy, defense, and critical infrastructure.
Leadership spanning cybersecurity, identity, governance, enterprise technology, and law.
AEON Layer is building real-time authorization infrastructure for autonomous systems operating across the physical world. Our technology provides machine-readable authorization for environments where machines, operators, regulators, and infrastructure owners must coordinate access and action.

Scott Armstrong is the Founder and CEO of AEON Layer, leading the company's strategy, partnerships, and vision for authorization as foundational infrastructure for autonomous systems.
His work focuses on the gap between machine capability and permission; shifting the conversation from how autonomous systems move to whether they are authorized to act.
Previously, Scott led a multidisciplinary team at Pindi Products developing non-invasive biometric sensing technologies and helped establish an international portfolio of issued and pending patents. He also brings experience in mobile applications, corporate formation, team building, and early-stage technology development.
His conviction is simple:
Whoever controls the authorization layer controls the economics of autonomy.
